With 88 sites on or near the water, the lake is never a far walk away from your campsite. Given that Moffitt Beach is a 3 mile drive to the Village of Speculator, local amenities such as a full service gas station, grocery store, small shops and restaurants are only a few minutes away. There is also a local camp store within 1 mile from the campground entrance for kayak rental, firewood, and ice needs.

There is a 1 mile paved loop located in "Siberia" section, great for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. This loop is not groomed, but is usually heavily packed by users. A great place to bring your dog, and a great spot for a moonlight tour. This is a great loop for beginners, and it is not too long.
